No Shortage of happenings on the Lower East Side this weekend. Here’s a look:

–Los Angeles-based band Wand plays Mercury Lounge tonight at 10:30 p.m. $12, 217 East Houston St.

–There’s an opening reception tonight for painter John McAllister’s new exhibition at the James Fuentes Gallery, 55 Delancey St.

–At the Shin Gallery this evening there’s an opening for French painter and videographer David Raffini’s new show. 66 Orchard St., 7-9 p.m.

–Tonight at 7 p.m., “Dance for Dance,” the annual fundraiser in support of the Mark DeGarmo dance education program, will be held at the Clemente. Details here.

–Saturday afternoon, “The Lost Arcade,” the film about Chinatown Fair, debuts at DOC NYC. IFC Center, 4:45 p.m. More details here.

–On Saturday, the Two Bridges Neighborhood Council is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Cherry and Clinton Playground with the Chinatown YMCA Cornerstone and the Lower East Side Community United Through Sports (LES CUTS). Boys and girls ages 12-17 are eligible. Here’s the Facebook invite.

–From 6-9 p.m. Saturday, the Bridget Donahue gallery will hold an opening for SQRRL, a solo exhibition with artist, writer and performer, John Russell. It coincides with the debut of “Judgement Now,” a performance by Head Gallery, presented in conjunction with Performa 15. 99 Bowery.

–Saturday at 9 p.m., singer/songwriter Stephen Kellogg plays Bowery Ballroom. $25.

–On Sunday, Grow NYC is hosting a Stop ‘N’ Swap Community Reuse Event at Two Bridges Tower, 82 Rutgers Slip. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Click here for more info.

–Sunday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., CUNY’s undergraduate programs are holding an open house at Seward Park High School, 350 Grand St. It’s sponsored by Assemblyman Sheldon Silver, Sen. Daniel Squadron and City Council member Margaret Chin.
