Thanks for the link to that Lowline article. Looks like another good idea bought and sold by the 1%. ugh. I can’t see where anything good would come of this place for the local folks. It would be more like a underground Capitale than a Liz Christy park.
As galleries flee Chelsea, these guys might want to stop using the Highline as their model. The Highline has killed the Chelsea art scene in half the time it took SoHo to fold under profit-motivated interests. Sad for SoHo, sad for Chelsea, and soon to be sad for the Lower East Side.
