Coming up next year the Houston Street Center at University Settlement is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In preparation, they’re hosting a “community conversation” to help shape the Lower East Side and the neighborhood services the center provides in the years to come. It will be held October 3 from 2-4 p.m. Everyone’s invited (RSVP here). Also, University Settlement is asking local residents to fill out a survey. You can find the link here.
The Houston Street Center is a 44,000 sq. ft. facility that has a swimming pool, fitness facility and community meeting rooms. It offers a wide variety of educational, arts and health programs for people of all ages.
