Our friends at MiLES are partnering with photographer Whitney Browne to present her show “At Ray’s: Connection Is Why We’re Here” at 103 Allen Street (at Delancey) Oct. 1 – 5.

There will be a raffle opening night for a framed print. Tickets are $5 or five for $20. All proceeds from the raffle are going to Ray.

MiLES writes:

The At Ray’s: Connection Is Why We’re Here photography exhibition will feature a variety of portraits and voyeurism from Ray’s Candy Shop in NYC’s East Village. Much more than a candy store, Ray’s is a unique place that connects us to over 40 years of New York nostalgia and with each other. It is a time capsule with a heartbeat. Through her images, Whitney explores the regulars that all find themselves heading to Ray’s again and again for the same thing – connection.
