Some of the folks involved with Another Creative Group (a new creative collective?) are hosting what looks to be a fun, theater-like, weekly party/event at the 174 Rivington Street Art Lounge. Their goal of the party, or “experience,” they say, is to foster rich, creative interactions among strangers through social exercises, such as drawing exercises and poetry, as well as to create an atmosphere conducive to heightened awareness and contemplation of the way the rhetoric of modern day “prophecy” works.
They write:
Divinity will manifest herself/himself/itself to YOU—that’s a promise!—if you come to 174 Rivington anytime between 8pm and 1am on Tuesday, Aug. 25. While we await Divine manifestations we’ll explore the profit of prophecy through sound and speech (mixed by AnotherDJ), drawing and typewriting exercises, spontaneous human interactions fueled by alcohol, healings, exorcisms, and MUCH, MUCH MORE!
