The Manny Cantor Center is hosting a screening and final performance for the conclusion of the Moving Stories project that local seniors have been participating in over the last few months.

They write:

Join us in celebrating Moving Stories with an evening of storytelling, performances, and documentary footage, guided by Artist-in-Residence Laura Nova and featuring members of the Weinberg Center for Balanced Living at the Manny Cantor Center. Combining physical movement and memory, Moving Stories: a senior-led walking tour brings to life the rich experiences and personal narratives of older adults living on the Lower East Side.

The interactive storytelling and movement project has been led by artist Laura Nova.  The seniors participated in the New Museum’s IDEAS CITY by giving personal neighborhood tours to visitors at the festival.
