There will a special meeting of the 7th Precinct Wednesday, July 8 to introduce Captain Steven Hellman, the new commanding officer. As noted yesterday, Hellman replaces Captain Joseph Simonetti, who was just transferred to the 6th Precinct in the West Village. Don West, community council president, put out an advisory last night, pointing out that the organization does not normally meet during the summer. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the precinct, which is located at 19 Pitt St. (Delancey Street).
