Sunday Snapshot: Essex Crossing Demolition

Here’s what was left of the former Essex Street Market building on the south side of Delancey Street yesterday afternoon.Crews are demolishing the 1940 building to make room for Essex Crossing, the large development project coming to nine sites on the Lower East Side. The Essex Street Market on the north side of Delancey remains open for business throughout construction.
