Goa Taco Extends Lower East Side Stay For Another Month

Must Read

If you haven’t made it over to Goa Taco, the pop-up at 79 Delancey St. (Allen Street), there’s some good news. We just heard from the chef, Duvaldi Marneweck, who has decided to stay on the Lower east Side one more month. Marneweck brought his invention to the Park Slope Flea last summer, but this is his first brick-and-mortar location. His tacos are made from parathas, the flavorful Indian flatbread. He adds all sorts of interesting ingredients. A couple of weeks ago, I tried the chile-braised lamb shoulder with tzatziki and eggplant salsa (it was delicious and very filling). Marneweck said business has been good, so he’s keeping the shop going until the end of February. If you’d like to learn more about the tacos, check out Robert Sietsema’s review. The menu can be found here.
