Police are asking for help in finding a suspect in the shooting of a 19-year-old man on Avenue D Friday evening. It happened near East 5th Street at around 11:20 p.m. Cops say the shooting was preceded by an argument between the suspect and victim in front of 60 Avenue D. The shooter allegedly fired twice with a shotgun, hitting the other man in the chest and neck. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and is now listed in stable condition.
EV Grieve reported that an NYPD has moved a patrol tower into place on Avenue D between East 5th and East 6th streets.
