In the past several months, local elected officials have been attempting to advocate for residents in buildings owned by prolific Lower East Side property owner Samy Mahfar. This afternoon, they’re out with a letter to Mahfar expressing concerns about renovations at 102 Norfolk St., one of those buildings. The letter was signed by City Council member Margaret Chin, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, State Senator Daniel Squadron and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer. See below for the full text.
