Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver has spent $30,000 from his campaign account for legal fees related to the Vito Lopez lawsuits. Since 2004, he’s used $285,000 from his campaign bank account on legal fees (Daily News).

The city has approved Extell Development’s plan for a 33-story luxury condo on the Upper West Side with a separate “poor door” for low income tenants. Extell is, of course, planning another luxury project with a separate affordable housing tower on the former LES Pathmark site (Post).

The new St. Mark’s Bookshop is now open on East 3rd Street (Jeremiah’s Vanishing NY).

Misprint in headline: should be St Marks Bookshop 4.0. (I’m not sure about the apostrophe, though; there’s none on the official street name.)
