Man Attacked on Bowery Overnight; Police Seek Suspect

Cops are searching for a suspect who attacked a 23-year old man early this morning on the Bowery, between Stanton and Rivington streets.  He came from behind the victim and then punched him in the face before fleeing on foot. The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw.  He was transported to Bellevue Hospital.  The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. Today police released surveillance video showing the attack.  If you have any information about this crime, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
