How Do You Feel About Using Pier 36 For Docking? Speak Out Next Week

The city and a private firm, BillyBey, are making plans to use Pier 36 (where Basketball City is located) for docking.  Coming up a week from tonight, the New York Economic Development Corp., the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance and Community Board 3 are hosting a public forum to discuss various options.

The evening of “conversation and ideas exchange” will take place Tuesday, March 18 at the Manny Cantor Center at 6:30 p.m.. If you would like to RSVP for the event, click here.  The center is located at 197 East Broadway.

If you would like to learn more about the docking program, check out the Dock NYC web site.  According to information on the Pier 36 page, the location will be available for the following activities:

  • Tug & barge
  • Excursions
  • Community events
  • Historic/educational boats
  • Recreational (overnight)
  • Transient Docking
