First Glimpse: Zarin’s New Showroom

Must Read

Zarin Fabrics is providing a tease of its new showroom coming to Orchard Street in the next few weeks.

As we reported last June, Zarin’s decided to give up most of the first floor of 314 Grand St/72 Allen St. (TD Bank is taking over the space).  The historic Lower East Side business has been renovating a storefront on Orchard Street, which will serve as a smaller, but more inviting, showroom.  Most of Zarin’s fabrics are located on the second floor.

On Facebook today, Zarin’s posted a photo offering a glimpse of the totally revamped area, which was created bu combining an old storage room with the storefront occupied by Howard Sportwear, which relocated to Brooklyn.  As you can see, examples of the store’s upholstery work are mounted on the wall. A grand opening is scheduled next month. More details to come.

The Amster Family, which owns the building, put it on the market earlier this year for $32 million.
