Thanks to Damien Acevedo for sending along these shots from yesterday’s Adam Sandler film shoot on the Lower East Side.
Sandler is starring in The Cobbler, which is described as a “character-driven comedy.” In these photos you see him walking with co-star Melonie Diaz, who was raised on the LES and attended the Henry Street Settlement.
In this image, he’s conferring with director Tom McCarthy. Other members of the cast include Dustin Hoffman and Steve Buscemi. We hear the film crew will be back on the Lower East Side the week of December 8 for some shooting at 400 Grand Street, the building where the LES Jewish Conservancy is located.
Saw him in the Pickle Guys with the crew around him yesterday early morning.
Word from Hollywood is the great actor/legend Craig Walker has signed on to this picture.
