A man was fatally wounded while walking through a courtyard at the Alfred E. Smith Houses early this morning.
According to the Daily News, it happened around 4 a.m. The 30-year old victim, who has not been named, was near St. James Place when he was struck by three bullets in his midsection. Paramedics found the man “unresponsive and unconscious” when they arrived on the scene. He was taken to New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not found the gunman.
