Last night, Roni-Sue Kave celebrated her new store on the Lower East Side in style.
There was a grand opening party and sixth anniversary shindig at the shop, located at 148 Forsyth St., just above Delancey Street. Roni-Sue’s Chocolates has always operated from a stall at the Essex Street Market. While she managed to juggle the retail operation and production facility, it wasn’t always easy in a small space. Now Roni-Sue has a conventional storefront as well as plenty of room for chocolate-making. As we previously indicated, she’ll be maintaining a presence at the market; Porto Rico Coffee and Roni Sue’s Chocolates are trading spaces in the weeks ahead.
It’s great to see a Lower East Side sucess story! Congratulations, Roni-Sue.
