Here’s an edited version of the email update sent to supporters this morning:

Dear Friends of the Bureau,  The Bureau of General Services—Queer Division’s extended stay at Strange Loop Gallery will come to an end this week. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our gracious hosts, Claire Fleury and Alesia Exum, for a lovely nine and a half months in their beautiful space. We wish them well, and we hope to work with them in the future… The Bureau’s last day of business at Strange Loop Gallery will be Wednesday, August 28th, from 12 to 7 PM… The Bureau is thrilled to announce that Cage will host us for the months of September and October! Cage is a space for dialogue, mutual support and production located on the Lower East Side of New York, which involves changing membership in ongoing response to material conditions. Cage is located at 83A Hester Street, between Orchard and Allen Streets–right around the corner from Strange Loop Gallery. On Thursday, September 5th, we will host an opening party at Cage from 7 to 10 PM, featuring readings by Annie Lanzillotto and Zee Whitesides, and a performance by singer Brett Every… The Bureau’s business hours between Friday, September 6th, and Thursday, October 31st, will be Tuesdays-Saturdays, from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Sundays, from 12 to 6 PM. The Bureau and Cage will present events both together and separately at Cage. Cage will also welcome the Bureau into its project room at The New York Art Book Fair, September 20-22. We welcome proposals for events at the Bureau in the coming months. Please contact us at contact@bgsqd.com.  The Bureau of General Services—Queer Division continues to raise funds to secure a permanent home for the Bureau on the Lower East Side. We launched our Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign, Future Perfect: Build the Bureau, on Friday, July 26th, and it will run through Friday, September 13th. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in 50 days in order to secure a storefront, build the store, purchase necessary equipment, add a café, and create an e-commerce page on our website. 172 of you lovely people have donated a total of $9,898.
