It’s still summer for awhile, but fall is right around the corner. So we wanted to mention that it will soon be time to celebrate the autumn art and fashion seasons on the Lower East Side.
For the second year, the Lower East Side BID is coordinating a special preview event, “Opening Night: Art + Fashion,” at venues throughout the neighborhood. On the evening of Sunday, September 8, more than 40 galleries will be hosting fall receptions. Also, from 4-8 p.m., there will be a block party on Orchard Street (just above Grand Street) — and at 6:30 p.m. a fashion show. You can check out the participating galleries and boutiques here. New York Fashion Week runs for September 5-12.
