Along with the NY Fringe Festival, it’s nice to know there’s still some theater to be found in the “dog days” of August here on the L.E.S.
Beginning this week, The Amoralists, a local ensemble dedicated to theater that explores “characters of moral ambiguity,” will be visiting Abrons Arts Center with their production of The Cheaters Club
In this newest play from resident playwright Derek Ahonen, siblings continue their annual tradition of getting out of town to “get it on, with no spouses and no strings attached, to exorcise their sexual demons.” They head to Savannah and find themselves in a haunted inn run by a mysterious family and their voodoo-ing housemaid. The show opens Saturday.
