Here’s a reminder for those readers who have something to say about Citi Bike’s presence in the neighborhood. Community Board 3’s subcommittee that deals with transportation and public safety issues will listen to concerns about the new bike sharing program at its meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at I.S. 131, 100 Hester St. Read our previous coverage here.
Show up to lend your support if you are a happy user of Citibike! There are thousands of you, and don’t let yourselves be drowned out by the screams of a half-dozen naysayers
But my parking spot!
Any write-ups on the meeting?
We will have a report later today.
Bike docks are being place in the most inappropriate locations! Common sense had no role in putting what would be a no brainier out of the way safe spot. I kid you not there is a bike dock on Mott street you can’t even pull in or out with out getting killed or ran over. It was like watching a cartoon comedy trying to put a square in a circle! This was not thought about with any real reason except to make that dollar like a muni meter. Took up a lot of priceless parking which was already limited as well!! It’s a great program, just not well placed for the most part!
