Look out for long black limousines and pink Cadillacs on East Houston Street this evening: Springsteen & I, a new documentary about the Boss, is making its U.S. debut at the Landmark Sunshine theater at 6 p.m.
The VIP private event will be broadcast live on E Street Radio, the all-Bruce-all-the-time XM/Sirius radio channel, and a post-screening Q & A will be live-streamed on RollingStone.com, according to fan site Backstreets.com, which adds: “Dave Marsh and Jim Rotolo of E Street Radio will be broadcasting live from the premiere, interviewing Springsteen & I’s creators and some of the fans featured in the film.”
A Sunshine representative confirmed that one of the theater’s screening rooms had been rented for the Springsteen premiere, but was unsure whether Springsteen himself would attend.
The film had its world premiere in London earlier this week. It is set for wide public release on July 22.
