Here’s a look at the restaurants and bars going before Community Board 3 next month in support of liquor license applications. CB3 just released the agenda for the May meeting of its liquor licensing committee. As expected, Soho House is finally planning to pitch the board on its plan for a new private members’ club at 139 Ludlow St. They’ve withdrawn their application on two previous occasions to build more community support; a publicly accessible community space is now part of their proposal. The club would be known as “Ludlow House.”
Also, an applicant going by the name “Bonhomie LLC” is angling for a full bar at 363-365 Grand St., the former home of a kosher bakery that went out of business last month. It appears the applicant is thinking of combining the space with the adjacent flower shop. The storefronts are part of a commercial strip owned by the Seward Park Co-op.
