Thanks to TLD reader Chris Gage, who noticed this Saturday morning spectacle — a big crane in the sky over Grand Street, near East Broadway. Turns out T-Mobile is installing a new cell tower on the roof of a building just below Grand. The eastbound lane of Grand is blocked off while the work is being completed.
