Lower East Side resident Julie Huang is coordinating a “Community Symposium on Lung Cancer.” Leading experts, Dr. William Pao of Vanderbilt (via conference call) and Dr. Jessica Donington of NYU’s Langone Center, will be on hand to outline the latest research developments and to answer questions about lung cancer prevention. Julie has been working with the LUNGevity Foundation, which is sponsoring an October 21 3K walkathon in support of lung cancer research. The event tomorrow doubles as a press conference. It takes place at 9:30 a.m., in the Seward Park Co-op Community Room, 266 East Broadway.
