‘Saints of the Lower East Side’ Debuts on E. 4th Street

FABnyc and curator Keith Schweitzer (of MaNY) are excited about this installation by Harlem-based artist Tom Sanford at 70 E. 4th Street. The seven gilded icon paintings are titled “Saints of the Lower East Side” and the saints are: Martin Wong, Joey Ramone, Miguel Piñero, Ellen Stewart, Charlie Parker, Arthur Fellig and Allen Ginsberg.  It’s Sanford’s first outdoor public art project.  A reception will be held on June 26th at 6pm at FAB Cafe, across the street.
