Weekend Kids’ Pick

Must Read

The "Festival of the Vegetables" at the Metropolitan Playhouse this weekend.

Do your children turn up their noses at vegetables? Perhaps showing them a land of life-sized talking vegetables will help win them over. The “Festival of the Vegetables” is series of short poems, piano pieces and dances that explore the secret lives of vegetables, as seem through the imagination of a child. The show, recommended for kids 5 and up, is on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, through February 19. $10 for kids, $15 for adults. At the Metropolitan Playhouse,  220 E. 4th Street (between Avenues A and B).
