We woke up to our first snow storm of the year. Forecasters say we’ll see, maybe, 5-6 inches before it’s all over today. A short time ago, TLD reader Carol Anastasio sent us these photos from the intersection of Canal and Essex streets. The owners of the corner grocery store appear to be up to their old tricks! If you’ll remember, they created quite a stir last year at about this time, with a huge snowman that grew and morphed as the snow kept on coming over a period of several weeks.
