Mourning Steve Jobs on Clinton Street

As word broke last night of the death of Steve Jobs, the world of cyberspace he helped create and define went wild with RIPs, memorials, pithy quotes from his speeches, and goofy Twitter hashtags (#iSad).

But on Clinton Street this morning, a couple of business owners were showing their love the old-fashioned way: with signs. At the Little Laptop Shop just south of Houston Street, an easel board marked his passing with “An icon is gone.”

A few doors south, the Cocoa Bar turned its mourning into a customer draw, offering a 10 percent discount to Mac fans.
