In a bit of non-hurricane news this morning, the New York Post is reporting that a neighborhood resident was stabbed in the chest yesterday, and had to be rescued from a roof on Henry Street, between Clinton and Montgomery. From the Post:
A Lower East Side man was stabbed in the chest yesterday and had to be lowered from a roof by cops and firemen, authorities and witnesses said.
The victim, who lives on the first floor of 221 Henry St., rushed up the stairwell covered with blood at about 11:45 a.m.
When emergency workers arrived, he was on the roof of an adjacent building.
