Next Tuesday, communities nationwide will be celebrating National Night Out. The annual crime/drug prevention event, features food, entertainment and appearances from local police officers and neighborhood leaders. See below for details about National Night out on the Lower East Side.
7th PRECINCT COMMUNITY COUNCIL: held on Stanton Street, between Clinton and Ridge, Attorney Street to East Houston. There will be a petting zoo and dunk tank! Time: 4:30 p.m.-9 p.m.
5th PRECINCT COMMUNITY COUNCIL: held in Columbus Park, on the basketball court near Baxter and Worth streets. Time: 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
9TH PRECINCT COMMUNITY COUNCIL: held in the school yard across from the precinct, at 321 East 5th Street. Time: 3 p.m.-8 p.m.
PSA 4/HOUSING BUREAU: held at the Campos Plaza Housing development, near Avenue B and 13th Street. 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
Amazing that 2 people were stabbed at National Night Out. It was convenient that there were about 100 cops around.
