A 50-year-old man was stabbed to death in the lobby of a building at 190 Stanton Street in the wee hours this morning.

NYPD cruisers and a helicopter converged on Stanton between Attorney and Ridge following a 3:23 a.m. call and found the victim dead on arrival, according to a police spokesman.

The police have no suspects at this time, he said.

Community Access runs a halfway house for formerly homeless people from the building. WPIX reported the victim might have been a former resident of the facility.

Details are just beginning to emerge; stay tuned and email us at tips@thelodownny.com if you were a witness or have photos.

It’s the second fatal stabbing on the Lower East Side in a month. Resident Sarah Coit was killed in the early morning hours of April 10 in her apartment at 63 Clinton St.; her boyfriend Raul Barrera has been charged with her murder.
