Brooklyn singer/songwriter Katy Gunn plays the Living Room this Friday, behind the release of her self-titled debut CD. An energetic offering of jazz/pop fusion, Gunn sings tunes reminiscent of Adele or Fiona Apple – adding bouncy string arrangements and danceable beats to her uniquely soulful vocals . SNOW BLINK – Sat, Apr 9 | 9PM at the Mercury Lounge
Daniela Gesundheit and Dan Goldman make up the Toronto duo Snowblink. They just recently put out their debut LP, Long Live, in February of 2011, and are now making the rounds, spreading the word far and wide. SEBADOH – Sun, Apr 10 | 8PM at the Bowery Ballroom
Lo-Fi trailblazers Sebadoh reunite for a couple rare stage shows at the Bowery Ballroom this weekend. Having put out 9 albums since being formed in ’86 by Eric Gaffney and Lou Barlow, and adding Jason Lowenstein 3 years later, Sebadoh step out to support the reissues of Bakesale (1994) & Harmacy (1996). The Massachusetts band was a pioneering force in the lo-fidelity recording movement, and has seen several staffing changes since their peak. This set of shows has Bob D-Amico of the Fiery Furnaces filling in for Gaffney. $20// 6 Delancey St.
