LoHo Realty and the New York Blood Center are sponsoring a blood drive this afternoon. It will take place from 3-9 p.m. in the East River Co-op Community Room, 477 FDR Drive. The harsh winter weather forced the cancellation of several blood donation events, meaning supplies at area hospitals are running low. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health. All donors will receive a free mini medical exam and refreshments following their donation.
