Our New Food Page

Must Read

While some of you seem to have found it on your own, today we’re officially debuting our new food page.  By clicking on the “Food” link at the top of The Lo-Down’s home page, you’ll be taken to (please forgive us) “The Lo-Dine.” Once there, you’ll see all of our latest food-related stories.  There’s also a listing down the right-hand side of the page for 180 or so LES restaurants – and a directory (note the screen grab above). If you’re looking for places that deliver, or “cheap eats,” etc., this is a quick way to find the information you need.

Right now, these listings are pretty basic but over time, with your help, we want them to become a go-to source of information – for locals, by locals.  We hope you’ll participate by commenting on your favorite (and maybe not so favorite) Lower East Side spots. We’ll feature some of the best reader-reviews every week. In the next few days and weeks, we’ll be posting some “best of the LES” lists to get the conversation going.

One more thing: we’re continuing to add restaurants and information. If we’ve got any details wrong (hours of operation, menus, etc), please let us know!
