Was Shakespeare Really Shakespeare? Debate Tonight

Many people don’t believe Shakespeare was really Shakespeare.  Some say “he” was a “she,” some say he was actually Frances Bacon and some say he wrote the King James Bible…You can weigh in on the debate tonight at Lolita Bar, where writer Todd Seavey will host his monthly debate (club?).  The evening will feature Christian Toth, an off-off-Broadway actor and advertising worker, arguing YES (that it really was that guy who lived in Stratford-on-Avon) VS. Gerit Quealy, a journalist, NBC.com style editor, former actor, and part-time paleographer, arguing NO (that who it was — whether the Earl of Oxford, Anakin, or other — may be unclear, but it wasn’t that guy)  8pm // Basement level of Lolita Bar – 266 Broome St., corner of Allen St.
