Spring has definitely sprung at Seward Park. The clouds have lifted and we can all look forward to a beautiful holiday weekend in New York City. The high will be 68 today — 76 on Sunday! We just returned from the corner of East Broadway and Rutgers, where City Councilmember Margaret Chin and a handful of volunteers were encouraging people to fill out their Census forms. We’ll have a bit more on that today. Yesterday, we were at the Lower East Side Girls Club, where Senator Daniel Squadron delivered a very nice gift. We’ll explain what that was all about. And at noon, we’re heading over to City Hall for a rally to save the Summer Jobs Program. More to come…
