P.S. 110 Parents Invite Whole Community – and President Obama – to Pajama Pancake Breakfast

A raffle was held at the first pancake breakfast in October.

If you serve pancakes, they will come! That was the lesson last fall when the parents of P.S. 110 held their first Pajama Pancake Breakfast for the community.  They invited Barack Obama, the mayor and many other VIP’s. While the President couldn’t make it, 300 people from the neighborhood did, making the event a big success. They’re doing it again on Saturday morning – and once again – they’d like to invite everyone to stop by (local elected officials are welcome – hint hint).

This time around, the breakfast is an early Valentine’s Day celebration. The kids can make valentines for their family, friends or favorite teacher. There will be giveaways (for the children) and lots of coffee, OJ, sausage and, of course, pancakes. It’s a good chance to meet your neighbors and spend some time with a great elementary school community.

Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for children, and are available at the door. President Obama, unfortunately, sent his regrets but organizer Lauren Barack is undeterred (she’ll send him an invitation every year). The Pajama Pancake Breakfast will be held from 9am-11am, at P.S. 110, 285 Delancey Street.
