Good Morning!

Families across the city woke up to a surprise announcement from the Mayor: it’s a snow day! Early this morning, he decided to close the public schools, as a nasty nor’easter buried New York. By the time the snow stops falling later today (or maybe tomorrow morning), it looks like there will be more than a foot of snow on the ground. According to NY1, flights at LaGuardia are delayed about four hours. The MTA has suspended all track maintenance projects today. The New York City Council just tweeted: all hearings are canceled. City government offices, however, will be open.  Watch out for those winds — according to WABC they could be gusting to 45mph this afternoon. Enjoy the long weekend!
