It's not too late to take part in a unique wine tasting event to benefit University Settlement tonight at the French restaurant, Jadis (42 Rivington) at 7:00pm. “Picked by the Pros” will be hosted by celebrity wine consultant Michael Green (formerly of Gourmet Magazine.) The tasting is their first “young professionals” event. The evening will include a series of wines picked by some of New York City’s top sommeliers, as well as hors d'oeuvres and door and raffle prizes (museum memberships, tickets to the Colbert Report, wines and gift certificates.) University Settlement writes, "We are hoping that this event will offer a chance to reach a younger crowd who may not know about the Settlement and the work we do in the Lower East Side and throughout NYC."
