Campaign '09 one day to go: Bill Thompson, Margaret Chin and other key Democrats on tomorrow's ballot will hold a 4:30pm rally in Chatham Square today. Mayor Bloomberg paid a visit to the crew of the USS New York yesterday, the Navy's brand new ship made from 7 tons of World Trade Center steel. According to the Times, "he told one reservist from the Lower East Side that his daughter also lives there. He signed some hats and posed for pictures."

Don't forget to vote tomorrow. The polls are open from 6am-9pm. If you don't know where to vote, call the Board of Elections at 1-866-VOTE-NYC
(1-866-868-3692). Or you can go to gis.nyc.gov/vote/ps/index.htm

EV Grieve on the shuttered restaurant beat this morning: it seems Le Souk is finally closed, for real this time. And Butcher Bay, which took Community Board 3 to court after it rejected the restaurant's liquor license upgrade, is "closed temporarily."

The Tenement Museum has begun work on its new "rear yard" exhibit.
