Tonight at The Bowery Electric (327 Bowery/ Doors open at 7pm), make sure to catch this month's presenters at the LUCID NYC Party. Presenters tend to be people doing amazingly creative, interactive projects and/or performances that reach communities in new (often radical and uplifting) ways. LUCID's site lists the guests who will be presenting/performing as follows:
- Jordan Seiler of Public Ad Campaign, deemed a really cool person by GOOD Magazine.
Jordan is keeping the streets safe from the retinal-fracturing scourge
of our increasingly ad-infested urban landscape (our words, not his).
- Comedian, speaker, interactive solo performer and social artist Heather Gold. Called “the turkey baster love child of Sarah Silverman and Rachel Maddow.”
- MIT Media and AI Lab alum Dan Paluska talking about robots and public information appliances (we’ll leave it up to Dan to explain).
- A performance by a man who calls himself The Genie (wish-fulfilling capabilities unknown, unless your wish is to rock out).
