Community Board 3 tackles SPURA again tonight. The Seward Park Urban Renewal Area, the largest plot of undeveloped land in Manhattan below 96th Street remains a big parking lot after 40 years of squabbling. CB3's Economic Planning & Zoning Committee is in the early stages of coming up with a new plan. You can see meeting details here.

The Henry Street Settlement is reveiving federal stimulus money to support its summer jobs program. The Summer Youth Employment Program will offer hundreds of jobs in retail, law offices, health care and many other fields. More information here.
