Souvlaki GR

One of several food truck operations that opened a brick-and-mortar shop on the LES in 2011, Souvlaki GR offers traditional Greek street food at moderate prices. The star of its menu is a sandwich of grilled meat, wrapped in a pita and accompanied by feta cheese, tomato, onion and tzatziki sauce.

Nom Wah Tea Parlor

The first dim sum parlor in Chinatown, Nom Wah Tea Parlor opened on Doyers Street in 1920. After nine decades, the Tang family that owns it put the restaurant through an extensive renovation in 2010 to modernize it, adding a beer and wine license and updating the menu of dim sum, many varieties of tea and Chinese pastries.
