Williamsburg is the land of Chasidic Jews. In fact, it is the most important neighborhood of the Satmar community, as well as a number of other Chasidic groups. Come along on this interesting journey through an area of Brooklyn that is constantly changing.
This tour, which focuses on Chasidic life, also touches on the Hipster world which is now a part of Williamsburg culture. Join Rabbi David Kalb, your guide, as we learn about the history of this fascinating area of New York, as well as discuss its contemporary community.
Time: 10:45 AM. This tour lasts approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours, with significant walking.
Meeting Place: Meet at 300 Broadway in Williamsburg (in front of the bodega with a yellow and red awning at the corner of Broadway and Marcy Ave.)
